Bank reconciliation and supplier payments were manual. Kerfab wanted both automated, to make them simpler and less susceptible to fraud and error.

Scope

  • Integrate NetSuite with NAB Direct Link
  • Process payments straight from NetSuite
  • Automatic daily bank feed into NetSuite

We wanted to automate our bank reconciliation and payments processes to make it simpler and less susceptible to fraud and error.

As a result, we engaged SuiteFunction to assist with the automation process. Furnware Group

Furnware Group connected NetSuite to the Commonwealth Bank (CommBiz) for payments and bank reconciliation.

We opted to integrate the SF NetSuite CBA connector with SuiteFunction to mitigate fraud risk and eliminate the need for manual bank reconciliation processes.

Canteen Australia

After more than three years on NetSuite, Canteen Australia brought in SuiteFunction to overhaul how it used the system.

Original problem

Canteen was using only the most basic NetSuite functions, and its processes had not evolved from its previous system. Bank statements were downloaded and saved by hand every day, and each week the ABA file was downloaded from NetSuite and uploaded to NAB Connect, which left room for human error and for the file to be changed along the way.

Scope

  • Automatic statement retrieval (bank feed) from NAB into NetSuite
  • NetSuite auto-reconciliation against each bank transaction line
  • Encrypted, straight-through ABA payments from NetSuite to NAB once approved
  • File errors reported to accounts payable inside NetSuite
  • Post-implementation follow-up

Bank / service

NAB, connected with Bank Integration for NetSuite.

Outcome

  • No more daily statement downloads
  • Auto-reconciliation frees time for higher-value work
  • Payments that are faster and safer than manual uploads
  • ABA file errors surfaced and fixed in NetSuite

Why did you decide to engage SuiteFunction?

After over three years of using NetSuite at Canteen, we felt that we have not been able to make the most out of what the system has to offer and did not have the required integrations in place to tailor the platform to our business. We had only been utilising the most basic functions of the system and therefore our process had not really ‘evolved’ from the legacy of our previous system.

We therefore decided to seek an external consultant with deep experience in NetSuite to overhaul the way we are using NetSuite, and ultimately landed on SuiteFunction whose solutions are a good fit for the financial processes we had been trying to improve.

What benefits has the automatic statement retrieval (bank feed) provided?

The automated bank feed established a secure, reliable connection from our banking platform directly to NetSuite. This cut down the time previously spent downloading our daily bank statements and ensuring it was saved in our cloud server.

The bank feed also enabled us to leverage the auto-reconciliation features in NetSuite to match our system records to each bank transaction lines. This ultimately frees up our time to put more effort in more value adding tasks.

What benefits has the encryption and secure processing of ABA files provided?

Prior to deploying this solution, our accounts payable team had to download the ABA file from NetSuite and upload to NAB Connect each week for payment authorisation. This created room for human error, as well as potential risk of manipulating the ABA file during the process.

With straight-through payment processing, our ABA files can now be seamlessly pushed from NetSuite to NAB as soon as the file is approved in NetSuite. This proved to be both faster and safer than our previous process of manually uploading the file. Should there be any error with our generated ABA file, our accounts payable officer will also be notified directly within NetSuite which allow for timely problem solving directly within the system.

How would you describe your onboarding experience and ongoing support?

We experienced a smooth, yet comprehensive implementation process when setting up the NAB integration with SuiteFunction. The consulting team, both from the banking institution and SuiteFunction’s side were reliable and thorough in walking us through the process and explaining the ins-and-outs of the solution in a way that’s understandable for our non-technical users.

They maintain an open channel of communication and resolve any queries in a timely manner. They made sure to follow up post-implementation to ensure the solution is working as intended and to our satisfaction.

API Connector · Integration

Pooled

Pooled worked with SuiteFunction on an API connector between NetSuite and another platform.

Original problem

Pooled needed NetSuite connected to another platform, and a partner who could understand the short- and long-term goals of the project.

Scope

  • API connector between NetSuite and another platform
  • Ongoing product support

Bank / service

SuiteFunction API Connector for NetSuite.

Outcome

  • A connector and support Pooled describes as exceptional
  • A trusted, long-term working relationship

The SuiteFunction team are without question the only business I would work with on an API Connector between NetSuite and any other platform. Not only is their API Connector product and their support exceptional, it’s backed by extensive end to end product knowledge.

Additionally, and more importantly, their ability to quickly understand the short- and long-term goals and requirements of the business project they are undertaking is remarkable.

When choosing a business partner for a small- or large-scale project it’s imperative that a trusted relationship is quickly established. People who can look towards the future, working through the present situation (no matter how messy and chaotic it may be) whilst guiding you with a focus on future possibilities is a rare find.

All this combined with an overlay of extensive practical knowledge, integrity and honesty make SuiteFunction the only choice to consider.

Whatever SuiteFunction promises you they will deliver!
